The 2nd Philippine Textile / Fabric Expo is the ONLY textile, fabric and accessories exhibition in the Philippines. With support from the Philippine Board of Investment (BOI), Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines (CONWEP), Textile Producers Association of the Philippines (TEXPAP), Garment Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (GARMAP), and Institutes in Department of Science and Technology, this show will help you explore the potential Philippine market.
Why Philippines?
The Philippines is one of the beneficiary countries of the trade war between the US and China. It enjoys GSP/ GSP+/ Zero export tax to US, EU, Japan and Asian countries. It has a 100 million population domestic market. Large number of educated, skillful and hardworking workers just asking for reasonable wage. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is targeting $1 billion in incremental investments, $3 billion in apparel exports and 600,000 jobs for textile industry.
Potential from the US – China trade war
Due to the production shift from China caused by the unstable trade conflict, the Philippines’ garment industry has become one of the most popular markets in Southeast Asia. Other emerging countries in Southeast Asia are already saturated due to increased wages, leaving little space and capacity for new production. The demand for fabric and accessories are expected to increase dramatically.
The response of 2019 event is good. Exhibiting area is expanded to cater more exhibitors (increased 20% comparing to 2018 event). Very limited space is available. Act now to participate in this expo!
