Vietnam – The Hottest Garment Market from US-China Trade Conflict
After the US raised the tariff on Chinese textile products, the Vietnamese garment industry became the hottest market in Southeast Asia. From January to May 2019, Vietnam’s garment exports reached 12.06 billion US dollars, an increase of 10.3% over the same period of last year. Since Vietnam does not have the ability to produce textile machinery, it needs to import lots of machineries and parts to cope with the growing demand for orders

Vietnam has signed multiple trade agreements with the US, the E.U. and the ASEAN Economic Community; it allows Vietnam to take advantage of the reduced tariffs which leads Vietnam to strengthen their competitive ability into the global market.

The last expo was held successfully in April 2019 and attracted more than 1,000 exhibitors from 25 countries, including China, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore and India.
