孟加拉當地時間11月21日上午，一場約5.5至5.7級的淺層地震在首都達卡附近發生，強烈搖晃持續約二十多秒， 震央位於達卡東北方的納爾辛迪一帶。直至現時是次地震已造成約十人死亡，有數百人受傷，部分在工廠、學校及醫院等場所受波及。
目前孟加拉當局已啟動緊急應對機制，暫時當地清關正常，但流程會比較慢，派送方面則由於道路受到破壞，受到比較大的影響。
On the morning of 21 November, local time in Bangladesh, a shallow earthquake with a magnitude of about 5.5 to 5.7 struck near the capital Dhaka, with strong shaking lasting for more than twenty seconds and the epicenter located in the Narsingdi area northeast of Dhaka. So far, the quake has caused around ten deaths and left hundreds injured, some of whom were affected while in factories, schools and hospitals. At present, the Bangladeshi authorities have activated an emergency response mechanism; customs clearance operations remain generally normal for the time being, but procedures have become slower, and deliveries are more significantly affected due to damage to roads.
বাংলাদেশের স্থানীয় সময় ২১শে নভেম্বর সকালে, রাজধানী ঢাকার কাছে প্রায় ৫.৫ থেকে ৫.৭ মাত্রার একটি অগভীর ভূমিকম্প আঘাত হানে, তীব্র কম্পন প্রায় কুড়ি সেকেন্ডেরও বেশি স্থায়ী হয় এবং এর উপকেন্দ্র ছিল ঢাকার উত্তর-পূর্বে নারসিংদী এলাকায়। এ পর্যন্ত এই ভূমিকম্পে প্রায় দশজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে এবং কয়েকশ মানুষ আহত হয়েছে, যাদের একাংশ কারখানা, স্কুল ও হাসপাতালসহ বিভিন্ন স্থানে অবস্থানকালে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছেন। বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশ সরকার জরুরি প্রতিক্রিয়া ব্যবস্থা চালু করেছে; আপাতত স্থানীয় কাস্টমস ক্লিয়ারেন্স স্বাভাবিক থাকলেও প্রক্রিয়া কিছুটা ধীর হয়ে গেছে এবং সড়ক অবকাঠামোর ক্ষতির কারণে পণ্য সরবরাহে তুলনামূলকভাবে বড় ধরনের প্রভাব পড়েছে।
